Dear NHS Parents,
Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! The Northwood High School staff is excited to kick-off another great year here at NHS.
NHS is online! We are doing online registration again this year. You will be able to update your student’s information through Aeries, beginning on July 8.
Also, all of the important information about NHS will be available through the online process. All students, both new and returning, will need to complete the registration process. To get started, you will go to our website at www.northwoodhigh.org and click on the “Myiusd.org Parent Portal" button on the left side. You will need your Parent Portal name and password to begin the process.
If you do not currently have an account, please see directions below this message in the attachments. As you go through the process, please read carefully for registration instructions.
Students will need to print the “Ticket to Registration” and the “Health Condition Information” in order to begin the process.
Photos will be taken of all students during registration for ID cards and the yearbook.
As a part of registration, you will once again have the opportunity to purchase items online through our Webstore. Parents will continue to be able to pay with a check or cash on registration days, but can also choose to pay with a credit card beginning, Wed. July 8th or on Registration days ((the schedule for each grade-level is attached). We hope that this will help accommodate families that prefer to pay through credit. If you choose to pay with a check during Kick-Off Days, please provide one check for “Optional” items (payable to NHS) and one check for “Donations” (payable to NHS Donations).
NHS relies on parent donations to maintain the quality of our programs. Donations for science, art, music, athletics, technology or general PTSA donations are all welcome! Please consider donating whatever you can to any or all programs. Our community continues to be proud of our programs and we cannot do it without your monetary help! There is information about our Athletic, Instrumental, Choral Boosters and PTSA all online as well as on our website. Please help! You will find information about these groups at the end of the online process with forms to print and bring to registration.
Please be sure to add your emails into the contact screen for family members that would like to receive information about student and parent events and news, calendar and schedule updates, the weekly bulletin and college and scholarship information through email. All emails input into the contact screen will receive this information.
In addition, Irvine Unified School District no longer sends report cards to families unless they are requested. Parents are expected to go on the Parent Portal to access grades and student information. If you do not have access to a computer and would prefer to have your report cards mailed home, you can make that request in the front office.
On behalf of the Northwood High School staff and student leaders, welcome back to school!
